The aim is to give a solid foundation in English, focusing on the subjects linked to the option (tourism, communication, media, etc.).
From this perspective, the basic objectives for English in Communication & Information are the consolidation and improvement of the language skills studied in the basic course at B1 on the common European framework of reference for languages.
Knowledge
Broadening and consolidating mastery of the basic structures of English through the practice of basic skills.
Familiarization with various socio-cultural situations.
Know-how
Oral expression: prepare and make a presentation; taking part in role-playing, telephone conversations, everyday conversations.
Writing: write letters and informal emails, summaries.
Listening comprehension: understanding films, TV shows and various conversations.
Reading comprehension: understanding information in brochures, emails, posters, newspaper articles and websites; research.
Organization
The Communication & Information option is taught in addition to the basic course and the level to be achieved remains unchanged, although students receive an additional mark for the option.
Assessed activities will be carried out in the classroom during the course and assessed by the teacher. One will be based on a listening activity. The average of the three marks will be submitted as the final mark.
